I’ve been told to take Glucophage pills. My doctor prescribed them. But I don’t want to. If I drop my weight from 184 (now) to about 160 (over a period of about four months), and exercise hard every day, will my glucose readings after a 10-hour fast read within normal range? (It tests at about 150 mg/dl now each morning).
Have YOU conquered the disease by changing your own lifestyle?
My husband is type 2 and he is only 45 years old and they have him on so many meds for his condition. I am afraid he is going to wind up dying from overmedication like his grandmother did. She was also type 2 and on too many meds and her heart just gave out one day. I feel that the doctor is just dosing him because of the pharmaceutical companies give them a kickback prescribing these drugs. Serious answers only please.
Here’s the thing: I have taken cinnamon for years and I only need to take supplements(multi vitamin, garlic(fresh and pill form), flaxseed, B complex, etc.) for my health. Diabetes does run in my family also and I am 50 lbs. overweight. I never believed in prescription meds. I feel there is a holistic approach to this without the risk of overmedicating and contraindications.
And I go for yearly checkups and they find everything in order.
Checking into homeopathic treatment for diabetes. Have contacted a physician who claims success in treating diabetics. If anyone has been treated successfully by a homeopathic doctor I would like to hear from you.
Has anyone undergoing treatment for psoriasis also had to take medicines for diabetes ? Can diabetes medicines have negative impact on the person who is also taking psoriasis treatment ( mostly the application of topical creams ) ? Thanks in advance for your answers.
I’m sick of taking so many pills for diabetes and heart disease. I would like to hear from someone that has used all natural remedies with excellant results.
My daughter is 2 yrs old, My mother in-law mentioned the other day since my daughter wants to eat all the time and since diabetes runs in the family i should have her checked. My daughter will have cereal most days for breakfast a small snack before lunch (something healthy) a balanced lunch (atleast as balanced as a toddlers can be) a snack in the afternoon then dinner some evenings depending on how she eats dinner she will want a small snack before bed. Does anyone think that her eating habits show a sign of diabetes? And does it show up in children this young? She has never had an over abundance of sugar and ive always tried to keep healthy snacks in the house. I dont believe a child needs cookies , candy, chips, to get them thru the day. I know the only best anwser will come from me taking her to the doc but until i can get her in im trying to ease my troubled mind
thanks to anyone who can help
My mom has diabetes and i want to help her control her type 2 diabetes. i have read in some articles that cinnamon can lower blood sugars? Is there anyone who currently uses cinnamon for treatment of their diabetes? As much as possible i would like a personal experience on the effectiveness of cinnamon and what form of cinnamon (powder, capsules, etc) and how much should be taken. I hope you can help me. Thanks.
