Diabetics should look after their feet ( Alternative Medicine )
It is confirmed that the health of diabetic patientâ??s feet is very important and any injury or bruise, the size of a spot may cause problems right down to the bone and cause gangrene, so diabetics should take care of their feet from shoes to socks and nails to heels. Experts stated at a press conference that for diabetics the most vulnerable organ is their feet. The feet are the organs which are most exposed so when the flow of blood slows at the feet they start to lose sensitivity. An expert claims that even a little bruise might leave the feet more vulnerable to future injuries so diabetics should protect their feet:
â?Your feet should be washed every night with warm water, be dried thoroughly and moisturised. After sports and walking, the underside of the feet should be checked with a mirror to ensure there are no bruises. Socks musnâ??t be too big or too small, musnâ??t be scrunched up or torn. Shoes should be made from soft leather, with smooth inside and not pointed or tapered at the front. Toe nails should be cut short. Nails should be cut straight across, not rounded.â? The alternative medicine is known to have a long history. It would seem the therapies could be traced back to almost 5000 years. There were some countries and cultures that started practicing the alternative medicine. The right thing to say that history of alternative medicine has developed in China, India and some other countries. The Chinese were the pioneers of the Chinese traditional medicine, while India was the pioneer of the ayurvedic medicine. There was a common belief in all those started developing the alternative medicines, the belief were that the energy of the body needs to be in harmony with the body, the mind as well as the spirit of the person.
In the conventional medicine all these belief does not have any place. The conventional medication usually treats the symptoms of the disease and tries to heal the person by taking the obstacles away from the body and then heal the person. There are many therapies, which are practiced, in the alternative medicines. These therapies have been there since the history of alternative medicine. The therapies included in the medication mostly consist of certain changes in the lifestyle, preventive measures as well as self-care. Self-care is one of the important parts of the alternative medicine.

A friend of mine has been diabetic since he was 11 y.o. He is 55 now. He had a kidney transplant a couple of years ago, but the new kidney is now only 20% functional because of the BK-virus. He started having problems with his legs about 6 months ago and now he can not feel one of his feet and can barely limp on the other one. Doctors say that the nerve in one foot died and the other foot will always be swollen and hurt quite a bit.
Somebody recommended Vanadyl Plus, but it is too toxic for the transplanted kidney.

He can’t Afford the Medicine Prescribed to him, he has No Insurance and the Tablets are supposed to be like $70 a pop for the Week or something. He’s been getting his Meds from a Pharmacist Friend at CVS for the past Half Year, he was only Paying like $35 for the Week that way, you Guys know.. Under the Table type Dealing. This Pharmacist apparently got Trashed on Coke and Totalled his Car and like 5 Others in the Process, now the Dude’s Locked Up and my Uncle has only like.. Another Weeks worth of Medication. You’re supposed to take like, either a Whole or Half Tab a Day, and he only takes like an Eighth or Fourth of it Daily. He’s always Sluggish and Tired since he doesn’t take the Reccomended Amount. My Question is, since he’s not gonna’ be able to get this Medicine any longer, is there any Alternative that is more Affordable? Thanks a lot.

Introduction-Diabetes mellitus often referred to simply as diabetes. Diabetes is a syndrome characterized by disordered metabolism and abnormally high blood sugar, hyperglycemia resulting from insufficient levels of the hormone insulin. The world health organization recognizes three main forms of diabetes mellitus type1 type2 and gestational diabetes. Gestational diabetes occurring during pregnancy. Which have different causes and population distributions. While, ultimately, all forms are due to the beta cells of the pancreas being unable to produce sufficient insulin to prevent hyperglycemia, the causes are different. All types have been treatable since insulin became medically available in 1921. Type 1 diabetes, in which insulin is not secreted by the pancreas, is directly treatable only with injected insulin, although dietary and other lifestyle adjustments are part of management. Type 2 may be managed with a combination of dietary treatment, tablets and injections and, frequently, insulin supplementation. While insulin was originally produced from natural sources such as porcine pancreas, most insulin used today is produced through genetic engineering, either as a direct copy of human insulin, or human insulin with modified molecules that provide different onset and duration of action. Insulin can also be delivered continuously by a specialized pump which subcutaneously provides insulin through a changeable catheter1.
